Resembling an instant messenger program, EmployeeDeck features a user-friendly interface that allows employees to set their current status, such as 'Busy' or 'Away'.  Additional status information, such as 'in meeting until 3' can also be set.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;EmployeeDeck's messaging system features instant delivery of a message to an employee's desktop.  Unlike email or an IM, which has to be opened, an EmployeeDeck message automatically displays on the user's screen.  When the message is closed, an acknowledgement is sent back to the sender.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;In addition to sending a message, EmployeeDeck also has a visitor announcement feature.  The receptionist can select the employee from the list, and enter the visitor's name and company to announce their arrival. This means that we can now develop software for Apple's iPhone device.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Apple requires all business to submit an application along with business credentials to ensure that software developed for the iPhone is legitimate. These reports can be uploaded to the internal web site. A major delay in the development was due to the custom report writing engine, which has been completed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The final module, request reservations, is in the final stages and should be completed over the next couple of weeks.
